I got a gel allergy three years ago and spent six months blaming everything else - my nail tech, a new hand cream, stress.
It was none of those.
I switched to HEMA-free gel. Still reacted. Tried an at-home kit. Worse. Eventually I understood: once your immune system decides it doesn't like acrylates, every version of gel sets off the same response. HEMA-free just swaps one chemical for another.
Nothing on the market had actually removed the problem. So I spent a long time building something that did.
