I got a gel allergy three years ago and spent about six months convinced it was everything else - my nail tech, a new hand cream, stress.

It wasn't any of those things.

I switched to HEMA-free gel. Still reacted. Tried an at-home kit. Worse. Eventually I understood what was actually happening - once your immune system decides it doesn't like acrylates (i didnt even know what they were), every version of gel triggers the same response. HEMA-free just swaps one chemical for another.

I couldn't find anything that had actually removed the problem. So I spent a long time trying to build it.

The colour pen is 67% water. No monomers. No UV lamp. It dries the same way a felt-tip dries - evaporation, not curing. And the applicator works like a pen, so you're not flooding your nails with a brush and hoping for the best.

Turns out that part annoyed a lot of people, not just me.
