I got a gel allergy three years ago and spent six months blaming everything else - my nail tech, a new hand cream, stress.
It was none of those.
I switched to HEMA-free gel. Still reacted. Tried an at-home kit. Worse. Eventually I understood: once your immune system decides it doesn't like acrylates, every version of gel sets off the same response. HEMA-free just swaps one chemical for another.
Nothing on the market had actually removed the problem. So I spent a long time building something that did.
The colour pen is 67% water. No monomers. No UV lamp. It dries the way a felt-tip dries - evaporation, not curing.
And the pen applicator means you're not flooding your nails with a brush and hoping for the best.
Turns out that part annoyed a lot of people, not just me.

Around 60–90 seconds per coat. No UV lamp, no heat gun, no sitting still for 20 minutes. Water-based formula air-dries fast.
Yes. The formula contains no acrylates, no HEMA, no HPMA, no photoinitiators — the entire class of chemicals responsible for gel contact allergies. It's water-based, which means we've left that chemical category entirely. Not reformulated within it.
Yes. The pen applicator is held like a writing pen, which means your dominant hand works exactly as it would writing a note. For your non-dominant hand, the controlled-flow tip reduces the need for perfect technique — the pen does more of the work than a brush does.
